Default Roy Scheider ( Captain Bridger of seaQuest DSV) passed away.

It in the news..

in case ya wondering who is... he was in JAWS and in Seaquest DSV

He was also in 2010, among other things. It's always a shame to hear news like this. I wonder what he died of, though it looks like he was pretty sick.

He was in tons of stuff. Never had that marquee status Hollywood labels certain actors but he got lots of work.

Yeah, he was pretty under appreciated. I liked him a lot better n 2010 than the guy that played the same role in 2001. He did get an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor, though. But there are a lot of actors like that in Hollywood. They're good people that are in lots of stuff and put on good performances but don't get the recognition they deserve.
