FedEx Comet pics?
Bernd's updated the Starfleet Museum site but seems to have misplaced those renders of my Comet-class ship in FedEx livery. For some reason, I can't find them on my hard disc either. I'm embarassed to admit that I forgot who rendered them (Ashrak?). Could you please post the link or the pics again? Thanks

I'm going to bump this up. Does anyone remember this purple Comet? I forgot to download it for the museum and the old threads are missing. Also, if there are any shots of Bisons in airline liveries, on backgrounds if possible, I'd like to have those for posting as well.
thanks

It's a shame I cannot remember who did it - it was wonderful. If we don't hear soon I'll take a whack at it. (Since I have a Comet all done)

Katana, eh? Since he's MIA, I'll try to contact him directly.
Ashrak, if you have a simple scene with that Lufthansa Bison, I can post that as well.
Thanks!

Here's my version - still needs work. (~75% done)

That's nice! If I might make one suggestion: Commercial liveries are usually done in glossy paint, so they look much shinier than military paint schemes.

Not a problem - glossy is good.

Here is my try at 'glossy'. Looks good on my set at home but odd here at work (but I have an old ThinkPad here). The composit of the planet over the nebula did not come out as well as I would have liked.

What do you mean by "odd"? Looks Okay to me!
However, those highlights look a bit strange, because we're used to seeing highlights on the tops of aircraft sitting on runways. Also, the area of highlight seems kind of small on the primary hull. I think the nebula looks fine.

What I meant by odd is that my ThinkPad has a very old graphics chipset and has poor support for 24-bit true color images. Half the time I save my work so that it looks good on 64K color displays.
The primary hull was a challenge and I tried several light setups to try and get a better look. The problem is (nit really a problem) the geometry, the primary hull is a sphere and does not present enough reflective surface to the light sources. I have a plug in that takes and sets lights in the scene and then tries infinite possibilities, the pics it spewed didn't look any different.
