The top 2 are very good as are the last two. Frozen lake hmmm... I've been wanting to do one myself but have not even tried it yet. Have you looked at the setting the water textures to whites and light blues? The colors set to 'ice' and a very smoothed out wave setting may be what you need.

very nice Phoenix... also played with it a little, but then I found Vue and Bryce and I fell in love with them

Indeed. And I suppose I'll have to start messing with an old version of Lightwave now, too, so I can get you off my back...
Thomas, I actually used the WaterWorks plugins for the last two images. Test009 didn't come out anything close to what I was expecting from the "demo" pic on the Waterworks page (using the IceShelf plugin) but I think I got pretty close to a frozen lake on Test008.
I should really start getting into using maps and mutliple layers for more experimentation.

Terragen very nice product. Small and photorealistic. But organic world is poor...I know, Forester used for embedding trees, shrubs into tgw files...But Forester complex programm...for me anywhere...Sorry for my english...
