I remember this ship - was / is very cool. Can't import or open into MAX 6? Well, I'm glad I'm too poor to upgrade then

I can open it in Max but as you can see in the first pic it doesn't turn out so well.

UPDATE...
Other than a texture for the engines and a few beveled edges I haven't done too much work on this ship.
Here's a closer look at the ISA logo.
And here's another look at the logo. It's not finished yet and the font isn't final. I just wanted to try doing this because I've never done one before. I might do a mission patch as well.

Wow. I really need to learn Max too. Not enough hours in the day. Nice looking model. Good luck with the rebuild.

I just really love the detail. Segments showing a bit in the second image there, but it is pretty close.

I never worry about segmenting. Unless it's really bad.

It's not that big of a deal unless you plan on extreme closeups.

Very cool ship. I'm still learning Blender and haven't even gotten close to doing something like that.

It is mostly engine. I haven't decided on the a bridge design for the MKI yet. This version of the ship is mostly just a test bed for what will become the MKIII and that will look more like my original design.

Is MKIII going tobe the same basic shape, or is the design going to be different?

I have'nt used Truespace since version 1 so I have no idea. But I think the basics are pretty close for most programs.

It kind of looks like that old Russian space station, what did they call it Me'ar or something?

That is extremely detailed even with textures. It looks very cool, and does seem like a development on the I.S.S. and science fiction bases.
Well done
