Re: Klingon Bird of Prey Bridge
Yeah, it does. I like that you added a lot of physical buttons and large access panels. That really fits with the Klingons' kind-of "old and grungy" look to their ships.

Re: Klingon Bird of Prey Bridge
Yeah that was my thinking .. I also want to keep the poly count as low as I can .. and the random look ,,looks better so I am happy with that

Re: Klingon Bird of Prey Bridge
When I think of a Klingon ship, I think of the garage at the local gas-station.
It's noisy, dirty, greasy and has a bunch of strange men grunting about.
The mesh looks great - I'd say that your intuitions regarding changing this or that have all been for the better.

...And a road crew.
Hey, EG - I just wrote your Paris class ship into the animation.
It's not a major part but it's an important one.

Re: Klingon Bird of Prey Bridge
Ok, when you get a chance let me know what size the texture files should be (YxZ) and I'll rebuild them so they're good enough to go with the set you've built.
It really does look fantastic.
I'm not blowing smoke either dude - it looks way cool.

Re: Klingon Bird of Prey Bridge
Ok, cool deal.
And... really, you're damn talented my friend.
I wouldn't beat myself up over textures.
You craft a fine mesh.
I know I am going to get a lot of mileage out of this set and I'm sure many others will as well.

Re: Klingon Bird of Prey Bridge
It looks great.
I hope that when I import it into Carrara that I get a nice lighting effect like you have going. You know, each program does it's lighting effects slightly different than the others - this pic looks really cool - It gives me a good refrence for when I do my conversion.
I'll spend the next couple of days working on some new computer screens.
With luck I'll create some that are good enough to go with the mesh.

Re: Klingon Bird of Prey Bridge
It's stunning man, really.
I so can't wait to jump into this and being tweaking the computer textures and finally animating the scenes with it.
It's far beyond way cool.
I give it 10 thumbs ups!

Re: Klingon Bird of Prey Bridge
Ok, I have the bridge in my hands now and I'm setting up the computer screen textures.
I'll try to post as many updates as I can so that this thread doesn't die.
With luck I'll have at least 1 to 2 pics to post today.
And I know I've said it countless times before but - Ger, you did an awesome job on this thing. I've been running cameras through it like a kid at an amusement part - it's that cool.

Re: Klingon Bird of Prey Bridge
I don't have many textures mapped onto the computer screens in this shot - just a few - but I wanted to post it anyway because it looks cool with a Klingon hanging around.

Don't make me sick my Xerr on you!
*All of the same credits as before except now we have the Daz3D Xerr*
With luck I'll have the rest of the comp screens done in a few days.
I'm done for the night because now I must drink beer, eat chicken wings and watch my team play on Monday Night Football.
