Federation Civil War
Long time no see.
I've working on a idea about section 31 trying to take control of the Federation. These are some of the ships I'm working on. Most are onlt very early rough block ins.
Let's start with two ships designed by Rutgar Warrink.
Two Cardassian ships.

Now for a few federation ships.

The U.S.S. Redwood

The U.S.S. Claymore

The most recent pics of the first ship I started to work on.
The U.S.S. Soval

A shot of what will be the botanical garden.

Nice. I see you posted pretty much everything you've been working on for the last few months. Though, you maybe should've put up an "image heavy" warning in the thread title for slow internet users. Lucky for me, I already had most of it saved to my cache.
Anywho, you know I like the work you're doing.

I am a slow internet user.
A 56k modem and a computer that almost passes for a large paper weight.

Yeah, that's me too. Though, because the PCI slots in this thing are fragged, I have an external modem. But there are no drivers for the modem in Windows XP, so it installed it as a generic data fax modem. Somehow (and I'm not complaining about this) my 56k data fax modem connects to the internet at 115.2 kb per second. I don't know how this is possible, but it's friggin' awesome.

Nice work as usual. I like the Soval. Has sort of a Reliant feel to it.

UPDATE...
More of the botanical garden.

New warp engines for this ship.

I'm also thinking of rebuilding the ship that started it all but was lost when my hard drive died.

Yeah, the "flying brick," as LR calls it, is friggin' awsome. I've always liked that design, ever since I first saw it in Star Trek: Insurrection.

UPDATE...
Started to throw down a few hull details and lifeboat positions. The lifeboats are the green boxs.

I'm also playing with Nav Deflector size and position.

You should put a big hood ornament on the front.
Seriously, you know I like it.

UPDATE...
Some more detail for the ass section.
For those wondering about the cylinder and box shape. The cylinder is for the M/ARA ejection otherwise known as the warp core. The box is for the ejection of the antimatter pod assemblies. Right now they are just ideas for them. I might just do the as a texture.

A close up.

Yeah, me to.
UPDATE...
Working out a few details on one of the spoon head ships.

Here you can see the M/ARA ejection and antimatter pod assemblies port. The square at the bottom of the hull is going to be for a tractor beam. I've also added eight lifeboats.

Topside I've added some reaction control thrusters and I'm thinking about more phaser placements.

You forgot the little ejection port on the bottom for when someone flushes a toilet.
Seriously, awesome work, bro. As usual, some nice clean modeling on this beauty.

UPDATE...
A small update.
Playing with phaser strip placement. I've got three alternatives so far.

Must be tuesday because the Tractor Beam emitter is being installed. I'll throw on a few small details and it will be done.

Here is the Nav deflector and maybe a ventral phaser strip.

If you're taking votes on the phaser placement, I like the 2nd option best.
The nav deflector looks good so far.

I think I'm gonna go with the second option.
UPDATE...
A small detour.
Engines for a Bajoran intercepter.

A quick block in of a one man shuttle pod for the federation ships.

I really like how your 'boxes' go to detail monsters.

UPDATE...
I haven't felt like doing too much recently but I have gotton a very small amount of work done.
I added winglets to the shuttle and what might be a small storage area above the engine.

Just wanted to seee what they might look like with the ship.

More lifeboats and grid lines.

Two more ships. I'm gonna try to cut down on the new designs and focus on finishing at least one or two before I come up with anything new.
U.S.S. Hedora. Might be a Grissom like ship. My original idea was to update the U.S.S. Freedom but it turned in to this.

The Klingon Bird of Honor. I never liked the look of the Vor'Cha or the Negh'Var so this will a variation of the Bird of Prey.
