Default Enterprise Book-Cover

Aside from my typical 3D-Artwork, I´ve tried to learn more about working with Photoshop 10

To sketch the Background I´ve loaded Boris Vallejos "Chromerobot" on a layer "under" my background-layer, used it as an edit-form and tried to fill my background-layer with nearly the same colors.
After that I´ve deleted the layer with the "Cromerobot and began the work with the Smudge-Tool.

This is a book-cover for a german Fan-Comic where Trip and Archer are the main-characters.

Only for the Background - realized with the Smudge-Tool - I´ve used more than two hours...

It's not bad but the characters in the foreground look a little blurry. They're usually crisper than that on book covers. Everything else looks pretty good.

That´s right - I´m still working on a second version of it where I want to fix that.
It was my first serious work with PS and I hope to bring my 2D-skill on a higher level in the next few month.
