Me three?
Seriously, I really like this... I've always thought that old K-7 was one of the prettiest stations in any incarnation of Trek.
It's nice to see the sorts of things that could/would have evolved from it.
Looking forward to more!

Nice model. I like the textures. They really add a lot to it.

Thanks for the MASSIVE image, BTW.
Since I run my computer at 1600 x 1200 resolution, I have the hardest time finding good background images, but I think this one is going up for a while.

Thanks for the nice comments. I'm not entirely happy with the station yet. Some of the textures still need some work. And I think I have to redo the shuttlebay, 'cause it seems that the bay is too big if it's compared with the rest of the station....

Thanks to some lucky circumstances I got some new references for the station. It helped me to rebuild the connection from the dock to the station. My first attemp didn't realy satisfied me, so here's the new one:
Oh, and I redid the shuttlebay, 'cause I thought the old bay was too big compared with the windows of the domes.
And here's what I've got this far: In addition to the new shuttlebay and the modified connection for the dock I've corrected some of the textures:

I think the one with the DY stuffed in it looks the most fitting. The K7 wasn't very big anyways, so if yur looking to keep the same size range (atleast if it's a K series). Something big enough for the E would probably a different station class all together.

The only thing that could make this any sweeter is if you made various modual heads for the 3 arms of the K-7 type...
You already have the "habitation" and "stardock" arms... cargo or weapons arms would be super-sweet.

Still working on that thing...sometimes. Right now it's a standart K7 configuration, but I'm still working on a better version of the dock.
Maybe I can upload some new pictures later, atm I'm rendering some small animations for another project.

So here's what I got 'till now. Not much progress as I said, but I'm still working on that baby. Recently I was trying to create the dock with splines, but the results where crappy at best :P But stay tuned, someday I'll finish that damn thing...

@vip2021: That's just a WIP-background. A more detailed background would be distracting as long as I'm in the stage of modelling...
But despite that...thanks for the kind words.

I like it. It sort of looks like a non Trek design, which is not necessarily a bad thing.

Well, I haven't done very much lately on her...I guess I should start to make some basic textures and work out the details...
