Default June Calendar Source

So over at my site I posted the calendar for June. Here is the source image at 800x600. The calendar will now be at 1024x768. I created the whole thing and have posted a reduced version of the background (the original is at 2048x1536).

Oooooo... Thick-necked Klingons with big hats. They look like two-bit mobsters from a 1930s gangster flick!

Very nice, Thomas!

Quite a bit of rocks there. Perhaps I will nudge one over in that general direction
Did you make all the rocks yourself, or do you have some sort of random shape generator?

There are 5 'free form' rocks that I move around as I please. There is one 'scatter' element which lets you copy an object onto another mesh item. In this case a rock applied against a dummy object, about 30 copies and it has a noise, rotation and axis alignment modifier assigned. There are also two particle systems using a sphere mesh instance. One has 450 objects of one size and the second has 1500 of a second size. They are at varied speeds and variations in size (25%) then run out to get a nice effect. The particle system has a texture assigned that is a blend with one part of the blend being 'zeroed' on specular and diffuse values. A heavy bump map is applied to to give it a random look.
