Horatio Pic (Trek stuff)
Here is the Horatio that was drawn up by Stu some time back. I have updated, slightly, my original mesh with some revised textures. I was gonna archive the model and textures and wanted to get a new shot of her.

Nice work, looks really good. I have found that most TOS designs sorta licked it but this looks good. One thing, I don't know if it is angle or the fact that is just NCC 10. The prefix looks off center. Maybe its just me.

It's the angle AND it's an odd registry length. It does not help that the text is the only texture mask and suffers from not wrapping properly, even though I had tried to properly map it.
No diff - I just went in and removed the texture and meshed in the registry. The image link now shows it aligned properly and wrapping nicely. I also compressed it some more as the original image was about 480K - it's now about 200K (1280x960).

Nice! I would dig out mine, but it pales in comparison...
I have also always liked your backgrounds.

Reg number; STU made this to be an earily mod so guessed the number would be low. I build 'em to look as much like the designer intended .
Backgrounds - will take you guys some work The ones I use start off as HIGH RES versions of the pics I find, typically I download images that are about 5000x5000 (> 4MB's). Then you have to retouch them to clear up imperfections from camera lint or lens flares - clone tool time. You sometimes have to play with the saturation as well to get something to look good in your scene.

Thomas,
Killer Job!! Your images of the Horatio are incredible. She looks so real. It would go good in a "Ships of the Line" calander or something.
