No Seanr, but hey?! - New Orlean's Class Hallway
Well, I thought I'd post my lastest project. I really got into this one, so I'll be working on some more interior shots for a bit I think. This is actually version two, version one was started off by what I remembered from TNG...then I looked at some reference pictures and found out my memory isn't all that good! LoL! Anywise, here they are, I've just linked them since they're 1280x1024 in size ( my new desktop res now ).

Nice work so far. The lighting seems a bit bright, even by TNG standards, and the font you're using on the signage is wrong. But it's a good start, and I'm interested in seeing more.
(BTW, before you ask, I don't have the fonts. Also, I'm more of an art critic than an art ist, so I can't give pointers on how you could improve it, other than broad comments like "that's nice, that isn't." Just so you know. )

The first thing that caught my eye was the carpet texture. It seems a bit too low-res.
I'm afraid I don't have a clue about the lighting - I dfon't do 3D work. But I'm pretty sure I have the font you need for the doors...
I can e-mail it to you if you like.

Here's an update version of the mesh with adjusted lighting, I was a bit suprised at how much better it looked darker, I must say. Interior Lighting is a skill I'm still working at. As for the Font, GP I'd love to have it , but for this mesh, the font that I used was intentional, as I wanted to be to different in some of the little details from the Galaxy class. As for the carpet....I didn't think that myself, but if it caught your eye, I should play with it. I'm working on some better textures for it now. Anywise, here's the updated links:

Much better detail on the carpet - though it does seem that the pattern is a little "off." The darker lighting does work a lot better.
Kudos!

Those doors are in the wrong place - there's nowhere for them to retract into the wall. :P The set quality is great, though!
