Beginning
engines tried and rejected.
guns added. moving ammo cans back into the ribcage.
first lighting pass, prototype clouds
added gun flashes. sound ground. clouds adjusted (prefer previous) lights to be adjusted.

You know what I think would look sweet, if skel-o-boy was wearing a pair of those big aviator glasses. Forever skull grin, guns, and Tom Cruise's glass from Top Gun.

It still looks quite manufactured. Wonderful, but your "perfect shot" feel might lie in that.

Great so far - but I agree that some more "humanizing" touches, like the glasses or the jacket, would really set it off.

shui, it's a couple of years old adventure. one of the few that were actually shot with actors in front of rendered or photographed scenes (like gabriel knight 2).
it kinda had aspects like this image.
btw, i wouldn't add those glasses, they might give this image an almost funny appearance, whcih would ruin the morbid and agressive flair...

I think it would look more realistic with white bones. Maybe thats not the look you were going for but someone mentioned it looking manufactured. I think the white would do away with that sense.
And I still think you should use the glasses
