Stargate fan film
This is still a work in progress. About half of the film has been shot so far. We have a teaser available to download. Most of the teaser is CGI 3d work produced by our friend Wade in the UK.

Just a few things:-
1) Isn't the symbols supposed to rotate clockwise instead of counterclockwise (which you have it)
2) I would have loved to see something more than just the stargate spinning around.
3) The words, especially the long first words, go too quick to read. I had to rewind just to read the last bit, but then again, I might be slow.
4) Absolutely funny shots at the end. I was chuckling away. When the guard falls down, absolutely hillarious!!!! BTW, what's the song accompaning this bit?

I was thinking it switched between clockwise and counterclockwise, like a combination lock. However Wade watched the dialing process numerous times and discerned that the next symbol rotates whichever way is closer to the top.
Others have shared the same sentiment that they would like to see more than just the gate. This is just a teaser that we put together before we even finished casting. We did add a bit of raw footage on the end after we started filming. Once principal photography is done, we will have at least one real trailer.
It is a bit hard to read the lines quick enough, maybe we can adjust that. (I just wrote the script, I didn't actually do the modelling)
The music is an original composition by one of our team who is a music intructor. (and musician too I believe) He used some familar bars of the Stargate theme. He will be doing the soundtrack for the film when it is finished.

No, the music on the end, the bits of principal photography, is actually a tune (not Stargate orientated - trust me, I've heard it before). Just wondered what it was so I could download it.

I have no idea. I'll have to ask the guy who put that footage together.

Thanks!
BTW, also tell the guy who plays the guard in it, in the field, that just falls down dead, he cracks me up every time. I'm sure when you do post-production, it'll look great and stuff, but just how he does it, even thinking of it, is hillarious!

One of our Jaffa did have problems dying, kinda sat down rather than react to gunfire.

When you do your next trailer, I have found the tune for you. I think you should use:
Junior Senior - Shake Your Coconuts

Final release of the first episode will be any day now. We've got it formatted in wmv and tested it. Most likely, we'll be testing Quicktime and DIVX next.
