Also, why are all your ships flying away? Are you an ass-man? Or are your ships shy?

I think the lighting is a bit off. You are treating the sun as a point light source that is close and to the left of the ship and the small planet when it is actually far behind them. Imagine, for example, you are facing the sun and holding a baseball in front and to the right of you. Although the baseball appears to be to the right side of the sun, it is actually very far and would be lit on the side facing the sun, not on its left side.
