DeSanto Viper
In October of last year, I attended the Galacticon 03 convention here in California (I was the web master of batlestargalactica.com at the time)
Tom DeSanto was one of the guests (he of who produced the X-Men movies... remember them?  ) and at one time, he and Brian Singer were set to bring Galactica back as a continuation.
9/11 intruded, and screwed up their schedules. Tom was still on the project, but Brian had another project to do.
Anyways, Ron Moore and the SciFi Channel stepped in and stole the Galactica project out from under Tom.
So at Galacticon, Tom presented a slide show of what he had planned. In the slide shows, he had images of what his new Viper would look like.
It was unfinished, so what the final look of the Viper would be will never be known.
But using those unfinished photos from Tom, I've made this mesh.
Please note its not finished yet, *and* the line textures on the wings and engines are temp.

Lee Stringer sent me a link to a physical model site that created a model of this Viper. Since that model will be for sale, I'm going to use pics of it for referrence on this mesh to be consistant.
More will follow, of course, and after I'm done, I'll reveal the link to the physical model.

Looks cool, but it seems like the wings and the canopy should be smoothed out to match the rest of it.

Don, yeah... Lee told me how to set it up without killing my PC *L* Only took 10-15 minutes per frame!

Get all vipers you can from differnt locations:
the desanto, my mK2, the old seies, etc.... it will be like haveing phatoms and f16's together in ariel combat.... Cool!

I have a decent looking OS Viper (working on an all new one!), my Cobra and Python to go with this and yours
...oh yeah... I have Tigreclaws Scarlet Viper (it appeared in Hatch's Second Coming trailer) too, but it's not nearly as good as these. Needs to be re-done, and not in all red like he has it.
Couple of them I'd really like is the Mk VII from the remake *and* the early Viper that appeared in an ep of the original series.

Nice work as usual. One comment...the panel lines in the nose appear a bit oo heavy, sort of like they were drawn on by someone using a black marker. Thinner or not so dark would look better.
