Nice shapes, however I dont think the background in those images goes with the lighting of your models.
Good work though.
It looks like you use Blender, im just trying to learn how to use that program .

Ya the background/lighting stinks, it is one of the last things I am going to fix once we get everything else done. I just wanted something better than black... But, thanks for pointing it out, we may need some help [opinions] with it too - lighting can be tough.
We use LightWave 8.0.
Also we need to fix textures on some of the stuff, they are not "Cleaned" up yet.

Those are some great designs, although they were a bit dark to get a good view of them.
My favorites are the Phantom and Tythys craft.

I have not had any issues viewing them, but then again I use a 19 inch high end LCD panel. I have noted that the color vibrance and brightness vary greatly between that and standard monitors. There will be lighting tests and the brightness will be adjusted accordinglingly - of course good point. We plan on testing images on a standard HDTV to make sure we adjust the contrast and brightness to the correct levels.
Thanks!

It could be my 10 year old Nokia CRT, but there was a difference between the images of the two ships I noted and the others.

Ok, another post
Yes same crap with the lighting and everything else, but just want to post. It won't need to change much from this for what it will be used for right now. Gabriel will be done tomorrow night or Tuesday.

I like the level of detail. It's a very solid looking ship. What's the crew complement?

Well honestly I am not sure - considering the technology, a bridge crew of 4 could run the ship, however it would run less effciently. I would put a full crew around 30 - command crew, secondary command crew, engineering officers, technicians, blah blah blah. The other Archangels would be equiped crew-wise in the same manner. Gabriel - the COM & CON vessel for the Archangels will probably be done tonight, then I can start posting all four together.
On a side note, Raphael is sometimes referenced as the Angel of Death. So the concept here is, if you get in front of it, and all of those torpedo tubes fire into the side of even the largest ship, it is probably going to be done. This ship can strike that blow, however, then it will take several minutes to reload, and well that is what the support of it's friends are for.

Well I guess then it does get it's point of design across - Angel of Death. I am hoping to finish the last one tonight -time permitting [wasn't the last few days - been playing way to much EVE lately]

For final shots of our draft demo - and stills [we are in the process of rerendering the demo to correct the errors - now that we have time] The demo is link posted in the Finished Works section. The stills are in the Gallery. Also all images are posted on our website in the Gallery at www.racingsnail.net - I will be posting more as we do the clean up.

I like the hangar scenes. Are they on the blu-ish side because of the lighting, or did you color it that way just for the effect?

It's probably our crack-lighting - heh, I had to get some of those scenes to render in one hour at 30fps on one Processor [I had three going to last night before it was due - all at once]. A corrected image example is the one below, that scene is rerendering now. Also to note, the glass has a blue tint to it.
Example of a high end render - we are rerendering all of it at 800x400 2:1 aspect with high end output, takes two processors 38 minutes to do one of these frames.
This one is 1280x720 HDTV [was going to try that until I found out it took 110 minutes per frame - I need a Proc Farm]
