Out of the Long Night
The Eureka Maru pulls the Andromeda after 300 Years out of the Hephistos-Singularity, like always made with Cinema 4D, Postwork with Photoshop, hope you like it!

Re: Out of the Long Night
The picture is amazing, as usual from you, but there's something off about it for me. The angles seem wrong for the Maru to be pulling a much larger ship out of a giant gravity field, IMO. (I'll try to explain) The black hole is behind the Maru and "down" but the Andromeda is behind the Maru and "up," at least that's how it looks from that view. However, the Andromeda should be back and "down" from the Maru also (in a straight line to the black hole) because of the intense gravity field, as it was when they pulled the ship out on the show.

Re: Out of the Long Night
Another impressive artwork. I agree with eg180 - but perhaps the Maru just changed it´s flight-vector in this moment...
Now to the physical stuff: If my knowledge about black holes and singularities is right, the curvature of space around a black hole makes impossible to see it. ( The two pics shows a hypothetical visualization of a black-hole )
A Singularity is a ( hypothetical ) point in the universe where the curvature of space and the gravity is infinite - also it should have no dimensions...
For me - as a science fiction fan and story-writer - it´s an interesting facet to use singularies for opening transitions to other universes
Thank god - this is science fiction ( where everything is possible )

Very good again - the comments about black-holes and singularities were only a comment for a maybe interesting discussion - not a crit of this impressive artwork... ( I like it too !! )
BTW a little question: Have you made the SFX of your pic "The Bridge" with Cinema4D ??

Re: Out of the Long Night
Yes, the Effects are all mine, Alphared-Layer Foreground and Backround and a lot of Postwork with ParticleIllusion and Photoshop, the Models are by Smokin Monkey (Raptor),Will Jaspers(Pilot) Steve Wilson (Mining-Ship), Coxxon (Geminon Traveler), all converted and retextured in Photoshop also by me. SFX and Backrounds are always mine, have used never foreign Backgrounds, only at two Pictures NASA-Photos.

Re: Out of the Long Night
Thanks for your quick reply ( The question wasn´t: Is it yours - The question was: Is it made with Cinema4D )
I like your planets ( and also the suns ) - mostly at "A new Hope" ( The first time, before I´ve watched it, I thought by reading the title, it is a pic from "Episode IV" )

Re: Out of the Long Night
Thanks again for sharing the link - the effects on this site looks very good. My fav 3D application for the moment is Lightwave 9.2 but I´ve got C4D 10.5 too and perhaps I´ll try to make some action-render-scenes with it next time...
