It's all about the driver, buddy. nVidia is leaking newer versions to the web all few weeks, and the performance sometimes increases and sometimes decreases - extremely.
When I use 1.1.8.0. I get on my PIII-800/GeForce2Pro 1400 points. Using 7.x I get 2500. After tuning a bit I finally get around 3000!
So, go to
http://www.rivastation.com/treiber.htm (it's in German, but you'll be able to find te right driver, I'm pretty sure) and download some versions. I think you'll do the best when downloading the newest version and the latest marked as "(official)" - even these official reference-driver versions are in the most cases much, much newer than it's counterparts from Asus. Try both versions, or try some others - with one you'll get a _much_ higher 3dmark-count!
And don't change the configuration in 3D Mark 2001! On startup it's configured to do a default-benchmark - and that's the one you have to look for.
PS.: Im Notfall schreib mir eine eMail, ich denke mal, in der Landessprache duerfte uns - oder mir zumindest
- Kommunikation deutlich leichter fallen.
