My greatest, most involving work: MechWarrior: Scorched Earth

How big is it? While originally the "episodes" (as I call them) of the series hovered below the 20,000 word mark, that was shattered when I wrote Episode 9, which hit 71,169 words in all. The next two eps were also collossal when compared to the first eight, 65,246 and 39,714 words respectively. Finally, I wrote Episode 12, "Crimson Twilight", which took two months and ended at 119,362 words. I'm working on the final part right now, and that's already broken Ep 9's mark.

I'll also give you forewarning: there is content not fit for children. Having read some Tom Clancy books a few months before I wanted to see how far I could take sexual description before getting tasteless, so the first eps are kinda risque (by later eps I had found a level I was comfortable at and it tailed off). There is excessive cursing, three instances of torture, a pair of vivid descriptions of torture and what can best be described as the kind of things you'd see in a horrible nightmare (that's what I was thinking of when I wrote the parts), and some bloody deaths mentioned. Just forewarning.

If that's turned you off, there is also the elements of an underlying plot arc, which gets more developed over time, there are some big moments in terms of drama, and finally, lots and lots of 'Mech combat

(Ep 12's 'Mech combat was longer than two early episodes put together!) I've gotten a lot of praise for this, so I figured what better way to step into this forum?

And I suppose you're the only one to read it too, since it's not a "space" sci-fi (it has interstellar travel but BTech's always been dominated by ground combat

).
