I'm taking requests for scanned pictures of warplanes.
This goes from the early years of flight to 1994, to whenst the book stops. It does not stop at only american airplanes, but covers nearly all of them. Doubt it? Well don't the book is over 650+ pages in length, and it's size prevents me from calling it nothing less then a 'TOME' in appearence.
Each request will have a 3 view plane picture and will also have any other pictures that are in the book.
Please no more then 20 requests per person. I have to return the book in two weeks to where I got it.

Come to think of it...
I have a book like that as well, but it only contains small three-views of planes up to about 1985 - I guess it would be good for reference material for those of you wanting to accurately model old fighters...

Not at all - I ust gotta get the scanner working now!
It's daisy-chained with my printer off of a Flash card reader, which the scanner doesn't seem to like. I should have it online in a few minutes...

Are those the CORRECT destinations for the planes?
Because I don't have a Mosquito (Morane,Mosca-b,Moskalev SAM-7 sigma.... nope) or the BAE Lightning (BAC Lightning,Bachem Ba 349, BAJ,B.A.T. ...nope) and the only lightning that i've found is the Lockheed P-38J Lightning(5 different versions).
I do have the Phantom. It's under the name of Mcdonnell Douglas F-4 Phantom II(us navy) & (usaf) & (uk).

F-4J

The ones I scan I will ZIP up and host on my server. I've got room for a lot of 'em, but it can take time to get them scanned to my satisfaction.
Still waiting for a response before I do those other three samples, Troop.
And Chrono - sorry, man. I thought the same thing as I read the thread just now. At least it's on topic, though!

Chrono -Sounds like one hell of a book!
BTW, KaibacH's Aircraft's correct designations are : - DeHavilland Mosquito and BAC Lightning respectively.
If possible I would like the Panavia Tornado GR1, Hawker Typhoon2, Hawker Tempest V, Lockheed Lightning2 and the Fairchild A-10 Thunderbolt please!

LOL sorry... yup the DeHavilland Mosquito .. the plane that inspired the Death Star Trench Run!
Lucas saw the film 633 Squadron..
where a squadron of Mozzie attack a cliff overhanging a factory in WW2... which just happens to be at the end of a heavily defended fford.... and its all true

ok ok ok
Got my scanner!
[39 bucks ]
I'll have several pictures of the Phantom for you.
All will be in the 1100 by 1100 pixel range and over 400k because of their sizes on paper.
Each 3 view is only 1.5*1.5!
Saved as JPEG in PSP7.0 at 5% compression.
Where do I send them? I don't have enough website size to host the pictures.
I'm going to look into the others after this post.

I don't see the R or W variants there. Of all of the Phantoms I've seen, the R (Recon) and W (Wild Weasel) variants are the best-looking... And both are still in service. :helmet: :colwar:

I would like to have ummmm....any of the ww2 german and japan fighters and bombers
the us corsair....wich is the f4u-1 I think
What was the us fighter in Pearl Harbor the movie? that one
lets see the mustang has already been mentioned....Oh yeah the Tiger or was it the tigershark?....Blackwidow would be cool
lets see ummm...any of the ww2 bombers....b17 flyingfortress and b21 (not sure if that is the right number...the superfortress is the name though) and the mitchell from the movie as well......
also what I would really like as well is interior cockpit schematics as well...for some killer gunner to target renders....
Is this too much?

not really............
I, meaning 'we', just need some place to put these for DL or post.
My websites crap for posting pictures and I don't think people want 2-12 Megbyte files in their email. I try and put them on my site in a zip, but I don't know if it'll work or not. :\

I can handle large e-mails, if you'd like me to host some scans.
Send anything large to generalphoenix@generalphoenix.com - hopefully, that ady will work, as it's never been used yet.
Once I get several uploaded, maybe I'll make an index page to use for downloads.

Ok that's cool.
Thanks GP.
I just have to get the pictures reduced in size and zipped. I'm going to 'try' and keep each zip file under 2 meg for easy handling and downloading.
But..... I'll be away for a few hours today so it'll be sometime late tonight or tomorrow when I send some files.
