TOS Era Romulan Dreadnought
This design came to me in a dream this morning, and I drew it up as quickly as I could when I woke up.
Trying to continue the design lineage Masao's been working on. It's starting to bridge the gap towards the Roms we saw on TNG while incorporating Masao's lineage and TOS design cues.
If anyone likes it, feel free to model!

I've been trying to fill that gap as well, but haven't gotten past some little top-view sketches. To turn the TOS BOP into the warbird requires consideration of both Federation and Klingon influences on traditional Romulan shapes. Unfortunately Rom, Klingon, and Fed shapes are very different.
I like the direction you're going in for the half-circle head and lengthened secondary hull, but I'm not sure about completing the squashed wing circle so early. I wondering if that could exist in a more primitive, incomplete form. Also, I would take the nacelles more in a 2-D Klingon direction, which sort of goes further from the round TOS Romulan/Fed shape and leads in to the shape on the Warbird. Maybe making the head slightly pointed to suggest a beak would also be interesting.
